We had a great turnout at the inaugural meeting of the Indy Craft Mafia. Over 20 people, from experienced independent business owners to evening/weekend hobbyists, showed up to discuss the direction of the group. With a majority in the latter group, the overall feel of the night was growth, learning and community.
We discussed membership tiers, potential ideas and directions, and learned a little bit about each other. It was encouraging to meet so many diverse individuals who all have a common interest in nourishing a creative community in Indianapolis. With the help of everyone, we'll be able to make Indy's Craft Mafia a very successful, fun and accessible community for all who are interested in being involved. Our intent is not only to help and encourage each other, but to extend our hand to the local community and become a positive influence.
So, we look forward to meeting everyone and getting things started in the new year. If you weren't able to make it to Sunday's meeting, please visit our website for more info on becoming a member. More info will be coming in the weeks to come.
